Because there was no electricity at the time, I had to marinate my meat in a basic salt and this sweet and sour marinate at home and straight it went onto the Braai stand just to mark the meat a little for colour and that open flame effect I was going for from a taste perspective. Then took the beef into a pan and added the marinate and reduced it before resting the meat and serving) MASH
In keeping with my whole stand up comedy world tour of taking Zimbabwean food to the rest of the world. I took my potatos peeled and cut into cubes so to speak, boiled them in salt butter and water then after they were done I mashed the potatoes with LACTO yes LACTO (Sour Milk) CARROTS
My carrots were grated and I literally boiled the life out of them....nuff said
