What a weekend this has been. I got off the bus from Johannesburg with enough time to go home and take a shower before performing at SIMUKA COMEDY REBORS which was being held at Alliance Francaise. It was awesome catching up with everyone Q the boss, Simba the Comic King, Doc Vikela, CDE Fatso and many others that came to witness Zimbabwean comedy. So much pressure though coz people were expecting so much from my little South African SABATICAL :). What a night and I will say it again What a night!!!!! The boys were on fire ripping the audience to shreds which set everything else up nicely for me to completely rape their remains...GREAT NIGHT. The next day my voice was gone thanks to my vulgar destruction of a west african mans home joke. I had another performance, this time at the place that started it all for me... ACOUSTIC NIGHT...how awesoem it was to come back home and perform there ocne again. Nerves were on another level and the show was amazing, so much talent stepping up delivering prose, singing great melodies and playing awesome hits and then the comedian stepped up and gladly we had an awesome time, I could tell from the giggles and hysterical laughter that seemed to go on non stop Saturday night would arguably go down as one of my most awesome nights, and this was simply because I would join a long history of hosts that have graced the National Arts Merit Awards. I was hosting an awards ceremonyb I started doing graphics for, then consultancy, then strategy and then directing the awards abd executive producer and finally I was hosting the show. What a night, 5 costume changes (just the ties changed) and standing beside one of the most beautifulk women in Zimbabwe Samantha Dika my co host who is the former Miss Harare. Great reviews in the press today.
